Services for John 'J.T.' Murdoch Sr., 87, of Jayton will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the First Assembly of God Church of Jayton with John Murdoch Jr. and Chris Murdoch officiating.
Burial will follow at Jayton Cemetery under the direction of Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home in Jayton. He died Saturday, Dec. 21, 2002.
He was born Jan. 24, 1915, in Jayton. He married Fran Stanaland on July 6, 1935. She preceded him in death. He was a lifelong resident of Kent County, where he farmed and ranched.
Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy Nell Brooks of Jayton; two sons, John T. Jr. of Lubbock and Cleburne of Rotan; a brother, Woodrow of Comanche; a sister, Lorean Lee of Jayton; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
