Services for Mrs. Nettie Gilles, 83, a resident of St. Joseph's Home in Peoria since July 1972, who died there Tuesday, July 3, 1973, will be in the Wright & Salmon Mortuary and in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Kickapoo.
Rev. August Mey will officiate and burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Kickapoo.
Mrs. Gilles formerly lived on RR 1, Kickapoo.
She was born in Kickapoo, November 11, 1889, a daughter of Frank and Rose Nufer Loescher. She married John Gilles in Kickapoo April 26, 1911. He died in Peoria August 11, 1961.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Kickapoo and the Altar and Rosary Society.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Kermit (Veronica) Nader of Kickapoo, Mrs. John (Mary) Ambrosch of Peoria and Mrs. James (Ann) Kinney of Champaign; five sons, Frank, John, Robert, Eugene and Harold, all of Kickapoo; five sisters, Mrs. Bernard (Mamie) Heinz of Lacon, Mrs. Joseph (Lucy) Stenger and Mrs. John (Veronica) Ludolph, both of Kickapoo, Mrs. Charles (Cecilia) Stenger of Elmwood and Mrs. Rosella Hanlon of Peoria; 31 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
One daughter, a brother, one sister and a grandchild preceded her in death.
