Mrs. John S. Biard, the former Hazel Alliene Albright, died at McCuistion Medical Center at 5:55 am Thursday, Feb 24. Services are scheduled for 4 pm Saturday, Feb 26, at Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. The Rev. Dick Atkinson and the Rev. Ray Starnes will officiate.

Mrs. Biard was born Aug 23, 1897 in Paris, a daughter of John W. Albright and Lorena Hilliard Albright. She attended Paris schools and married John S. Biard in 1919. He died Nov 19, 1972.

She was a longtime employee of the City of Paris working in the water department. In 1960, she and Mr. Biard moved to Hedley, Tex., where she worked with him as a cotton buyer. They returned to Paris in 1960. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and of its New Era Sunday school class.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Jane Kostiuk of Dallas; one son, Thad Biard of Fort Worth; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. John F. Dunseth of Paris and Mrs. Katherine Turner of Waco.

Bearers were James Biard, Donald Turner, John Biard, Jack Biard, Alvin Lee Morse and Jeff Long.
