Willard E. Philson, living four and one-half miles north of Fairmont, was taken suddenly ill of heart trouble Monday morning, while attending his stock in the barnyard. A physician was hastily summoned, but was unable to overcome the attack. He suffered intense pain, dying at 9 o'clock a.m., two hours after being first stricken.
Mr. Philson was fifty-six years old last February, and had been in apparent good health.
The funeral was held from the Methodist church in Fairmont at 2:30 Wednesday afternoon, Rev. Mr. Gettys of McCool officiating, assisted by Rev. V.C. Wright of Fairmont.
