Arthur Batzka, son of Robert Batzka, and Miss Beatrice Mikesell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Mikesell of Monticello, IN., were united in marriage at the home of Rev. Donald Freeman in Freeman, IA., on October 18, 1938. Both young people were employed in Winamac, where they will make their home following a honeymoon trip through the Black Hills of South Dakota. The heartiest congratulations of this community go forth to Arthur and wife.

-- Mrs. Beatrice Batzka, 51, wife of Arthur Batzka of Monticello, died in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette, at 5 a.m. Tuesday. She had been in failing health a year and a patient in the hospital since Thursday.
Born at Rockfield, she was married in 1938 and was a member of the Christian church and a Sunday School teacher and a member of the Degree of Pocahontas.
Surviving with the husband are two sons, David and Stephen, both at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Mikesell of Monticello, and a brother, William Mikesell of Monticello.

Beatrice Batzka, 51, of Monticello, Dies; Final Rites Thursday
MONTICELLO
-- Final rites for Mrs. Beatrice Batzka, 51, of 506 E. Washington, will be at two o'clock Thursday at the Monticello Christian Church. The Reverend D. Lester Niles will officiate and burial will be in Riverview cemetery.
Friends may call at the Miller funeral home after ten o'clock this morning. The body will lie in state at the church one hour before the services.
Her death occurred at 5 a.m. Tuesday in St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Lafayette, where she had been a patient since Thursday.
Born April 18, 1909, in Rockfield, she was the daughter of Albert and Mary Shuey Mikesell. Her marriage to Arthur Batzka was on October 18, 1938.
She was a member of the Monticello Christian Church, the CWF, and was a Sunday School teacher in the church. She also belonged to the Pochantas lodge and the Union Township Home Demonstration club.
Survivors are the husband; two sons, David and Stephen, at home, her parents, of Monticello, a brother, William of here.
