Liddy (Bower)Cummings was born in May 1880 in Michigan, daughter of Joseph Bower and Elizabeth Jones. She was married on 17 August 1898 in Traverse City to Jason Cummings. They moved to Long Lake township and operated a farm. The couple joined the local Friends Church, but resigned in 1904, apparently at the time the couple divorced. Liddy died in 1910 from pneumonia in Long Lake township. She was the mother of five children: Ernest, William, Charles, Minnie, and Earl.
