Lula Frances Wilbourn of 2140 Willow Street, South Boston died Friday, July 16, 2010 at her home. Born in Halifax County on April 16, 1933, she was 77 at the time of her death. She was retired from Central Supply and was a former employee of Halifax Regional Hospital. She was a member of Buffalo Baptist Tabernacle where she was a former choir member.

She was preceded in death by her parents Herbert and Lillie Conner Wilborn, a brother, Billy Wilborn, five sisters, Barbara Puryear, Janie Sue Frazier, Martha Newby, Winnie Newby and Margaret Bane and a grandson, Keith Hamilton Watts.

A funeral service for Mrs. Wilbourn was conducted Sunday, July 18 at 5:30 p.m. at Buffalo Baptist Tabernacle Church with the Rev. William Weeks officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
