Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m Friday at Fry Funeral Home for Raymond H. Buhecker, 64, of Kibler Rd, RD 1, New Waterford, who died Tuesday afternoon at Salem City Hospital. Rev. Carl Duwe of East Palestine will officiate at the rites. Burial will be at East Palestine Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 this evening at the funeral home. A farmer and lifetime resident of the area, Mr. Buhecker was born Sept. 22, 1893, a son of John And Melissa Lippley Buhecker. On June 25, 1919; he married Florence L. Stacy, whom survives. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church where he had taught a men's Bible class for many years. He had served during World War I with the 304th Field Artillery, and was a member of Columbiana's Benjamin Firestone Post 290, American Legion. He attended Salem Business College. Beside his widow, he is survived by a son, Charles Buhecker of New Waterford; a daughter Mrs. Allen Chamberlin of Leetonia; seven grandchildren; a brother, Homer C. Buhecker of East Palestine; and a sister, Mrs. Ora Millen of Columbiana. The family request that material tributes take the form of donations to the Heart Fund.
