She is survived by her husband, James Flint of Buchanan, Va; two sons, Thomas Hale Jr. and Danny (Jeannie) Hale, all of Madison, WV; two stepchildren, Kevin (Hope) Flint and Susan Wendling, all of Buchanan, VA; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren all of Madison, WV; five step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren; a host of friends; and a special friend whom she called her adopted son, Dr. Jan Cunningham of Charleston, WV.
A visitation will be held from 6 to 9 pm Tuesday, July 20 at Botetourt Funeral Home in Buchanan, VA. A visitation will also be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 21 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 22, at Handley Funeral Home, Danville, WV with the Rev. Marina Gopadze officiating. Burial will follow in Danville Memorial Park, Danville, WV.
∼Erma Lee Miller Hale Flint, 82, of Buchanan, VA, formerly of Madison, WV passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2010, at her son's residence in West Virginia.
She was born at Turtle Creek, WV and was a daughter of the late Alfred and Nettie Miller. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Albert Hale Sr.; daughter, Brenda Kay Smith; daughter-in-law, Hazel Jean Grimmett Hale; granddaughter, Sharon Hale; two brothers; and two sisters.
She is survived by her husband, James Flint, of Buchanan, VA; two sons, Thomas Albert Hale Jr. of Danville and Danny Ray and Jeannie Hale of West Madison; four grandchildren, Mark and Amy Hale of Madison and Michelle and Eddie Arthur of Ramage, Danny Hale II of West Madison and Shea and Ashley Hale also of West Madison; six great-grandchildren, Emily Lambert, Clay Hale, Tanner Hale, Kirsten Arthur, Whitney Hale and Xavin Hale; two step-children, Kevin (Hope) Flint and Susan Wendling all of Buchanan, VA; five step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; very special friend whom she called her adopted son, Dr. Jan Cunningham, of Charleston, WV; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
In the year 2011 a great-grandson was born, Nehlen Hale and another great-grandson in 2014, Titan Hale (sons, of Shea and Ashley Hale).
