Ruby Evelyn McKnight Castello, a loving, wife, mother, sister in law and mother in law, died peacefully with her family at her side on Friday, July 16, 2010 at Ollie Steele Burden Butterfly Wing. She was a resident of Bluff Creek and was Chief Civil Deputy at the East Feliciana Parish Sheriff's Office.
Arrangements entrusted to Charlet Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bluff Creek Cemetery.
She was a loving and devoted wife of 44 years to Gerald Ray Castello. She is also survived by a son and daughter in law, Gerald "Todd" and Desiree Cox Castello, Bluff Creek. Sister, Dorothy McKnight Allen, Watson. Brother and sister in law, Kenneth C. & Beth Hurst McKnight, Zachary. Special sisters in law, Vera Castello Peel and Linda Kay McKnight. Nieces and nephews, Ricky McKnight and family, Randy McKnight and family, Bobby Castello and family, Nancy Marchessealt and family, William Earl Allen and family, Sheryl Hancock and family, Jana Hackett and family, and Judy Terras and family. And numerous family and friends whom she loved.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Bridges and Lora McKnight, twin brother, Richard E. "Dickie" McKnight, and brother in law, Ben Lee Allen.
She was a faithful and lifelong member of Bluff Creek Methodist Church, and secretary/treasure of Bluff Creek Cemetery Association. She was well loved and admired by all that knew her.
