Mrs. Ida M. Daley, who for 47 years had made her home in Porterville, died this morning at her home at 218 B street, after a comparatively brief illness. Mrs. Daley was aged 78 years, 8 months and 24 days.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow, at 2:00 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home, with Rev. J.A. Milligan officiating.
Mrs. Daley, widely known among the older residents of Porterville, was born in Wisconsin. She was married to Frank Daley, who survives her at Sibley, Iowa, and last April 25 Mr. and Mrs. Daley observed the 62nd anniversary of their wedding.
Surviving Mrs. Daley are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Ada Field of Oakland, and four grandchildren, Errol Riley of Hollister, Norman Heldt and Mrs. Anita Gerbermier of Benicia, and Mrs. Ida Bucker of Oakland, and five great-grandchildren, Frank and Stephen Lalanne of this city and their sister, Mrs. Anna Hennessy of San Francisco, were raised by Mr. and Mrs. Daley after their parents' deaths and always regarded Mrs. Daley as their mother.
