Mrs. William H Clark


Mrs. Essie E. Clark, 77, of 1837 West Atlantic, was dead upon arrival at Cox Medial Center at 7:10 p.m. Thursday. Mrs. Clark had been a hospital patient until about two weeks ago.


A lifetime resident of Springfield, she attended Northwest Baptist Church.


Surviving are her husband, William H.; two sons, Lawrence, of Wichita, and Eugen, of Route 1; four daughters, Mrs. Elma Nichols, 551 South Belcrest, Mrs. Hazel Nickel, 2041 North Weller, Mrs. Freda Presley, 2316 North Lexington, and Mrs. Dorothy Presley, 1715 West High; a brother Clyde Leming of Nixa; 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.


Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Ayre-Goodwin Chapel with the Rev. John Doolittle officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.
