He was born in Heidleburg, West Germany, worked as a farmer and was a member of the Baptist Church. Services were March 7 at 1:30 pm in Providence Baptist Church with burial in Providence Cemetery. Bro Eugene Walden and Bro William officiated. Ripley Funeral Home was in charge. Survivors include his parents, Mr and Mrs Bobby Horton, Tiplersville; two brothers, Billy Montgomery Jr and Donny Horton, both of Tiplersville; two sisters, Bobbye Nell Horton and Mrs Pat Eaton, both of Tiplersville. Pallbearers were Neil Hopper, David Horton, Jeff Harrell, Sammy Horton, Johnny Hopper, Dale Hodum, Bob Nabors and Tommy James.
