Jamie Ann Scott, 90, went to be with the Lord on July 15, 2010 with her loving family by her side. She was born to James Carl Gentry and Claudia Miller Gentry on October 25, 1919. Jamie was a nurse and a homemaker and a member of Riverhills Baptist Church. Her passion was sewing, gardening and doing for others.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Russell Scott; sisters, Louise Woods and Ruth Gentry, and her brother, Wallace Gentry.

She is survived by her daughter, Lynn (Terry) Elder of Corpus Christi, Texas; her son, Mike (Connie) Scott of Robstown, Texas; grandchildren: Shauna (Gary) Pendleton, Joy (Mark) Camp, Brandon Elder(Fiance Jody), Christin Wood, Britany (Richard) Hunt; great-grandchildren: Frank Pendleton, Hunter Camp, Kade Wood, Lillian Hunt, Konner Wood; brother, Hoyte (Elizabeth) Gentry of Corpus Christi; sister, Faye (Joe) Collier of Oak Harbor, WA; sister-in-law, Jean Gentry of Louisville, Miss.; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 18, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral service will be held Monday, July 19, 2010 at 1:00 p.m., at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bill Simmons officiating.
