Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Blackman, 70, of Moorhead were held Friday at the Crosby-Kunold Farman St. Mortuary in Omaha.

Additional services were held Friday at the Moorhead Christian Church. Elder Frank Fry of Omaha officiated at both services. Burial was in Little Sioux Cemetery.

Mrs. Blackman died Tuesday after being fatally injured in a head-on car-truck crash on the Morman Bridge near Crescent on Jan. 5. She was Pottawattamie County's fourth 1955 traffic fatality. Her husband, Chester, 72, the county's first traffic fatality was killed instantly in the crash.

Born in Turin, she had resided in Moorhead for the last eight years.

She is survived by; daughter, Mrs. Elaine Jordan of Omaha; and brother, William Peterson of Little Sioux.
