Bellverta Abernathy, age 63 Of Oppelo, passed away Friday, Jan.11, 2008. She was born Jan.18,1944 in Reno, Kansas. A daughter of the late Theo and Loretta Brixey Robertson. She was a cook and of Baptist faith.
Survivors include her son, Jerrold Abernathy and daughter-in-law Linda of Ola, daughter Debbie Abernathy of Birta, brother, Dwight Robertson and sister-in-law Barbara of Casa. 3 grandchildren, Brother-in-law, Bobby J Hubbard of Casa, one niece and seven nephews.
Bell was preceded in death by a sister, Myrna Hubbard.
Funeral services were Monday, Jan 14, at Welcome Home Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Fred brixey and Bro. Mike Arndt officating. Burial was at Aunt Dilly Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ricky Hubbard, Lydell Hubbard, Eddy Abernathy, Wes Mitchell, Chris Mitchell, Shane Mitchell and Brandon Robertson.
