"The Flora Hoosier Democrat," Flora, Indiana, Thursday, February 11, 1965, Page 5 Mrs. Stella Shaffer Mrs. Stella Shaffer, 82, Rural Route 1, Cutler, Indiana, died Friday at the St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette, Indiana, where she had been a patient since January 26.
Born August 31, 1882 at Rural Route 1, Cutler, she was the daughter of Isaac and Elizabeth Howard Haslet. Her marriage was to William Shaffer who died in 1942.
Survivors include a son, Doyle of Rural Route 1, Cutler; a granddaughter and great-grandson; one brother, Howard Haslet of International Falls, Minnesota; a half-sister, Mrs. Nellie Long, Frankfort. A son and one sister preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Methodist Church at Sedalia.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at Carter Funeral Home with burial made in Ball Hill Cemetery.
