IRON RIVER - Marion E. Dobson, 92, passed away Feb. 1, 2005 at the Iron County Community Hospital.
She was born April 26, 1912 in Milwaukee, Wis., the daughter of the late Ernest and Elsie (Stricker) Ullius. She attended schools in Milwaukee. On March 24, 1932 he married John R. Dobson at the Presbyterian church in Iron River. The couple made their home in Iron River following their wedding. She was preceded in death by her husband; four sons, Jack, Leroy, Ellis and Glenn; a daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and John Lofgren; two brothers, Roy and Ernest Ullius; and two grandsons, John and Christopher Dobson.
She is survived by a granddaughter/daughter Jackie (Don) Bomaster of Gaastra; daughters-in-law, Dolores, Marian and Karen Dobson, Eunice Dobson-Palmer and Alice Lofgren; a sister Leona Schattchattschneider of Milwaukee; 20 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation and funeral services were held Feb. 4 at the First Presbyterian Church in Iron River with Pastor Dawn Treado-Green officiating.
Pallbearers were Terry Strom, Bob Vassar, Jerry Shoup, Nick Sablich, Jason Olson and Ted Jankowski.
Interment will be in Resthaven Cemetery in Iron River.
