James B. Nottingham

James B. Nottingham, 86 died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Sidney Breeding, In Kingsport at 5:20 p.m. Sunday. He was a life-long resident of the Nottingham Community near Gate City except for the past 3 ½ years when he lived with his daughter. Son of the late George H. Nottingham and Martha A. Sloane, he was a farmer and had formerly been engaged in the tannery business. He was a member Methodist church.

Surviving are eight daughters, Mrs. S. E. Breeding Mrs. Ted W. Fowler and Mrs. J. D. Altom, all of Kingsport, Miss Blanche Nottingham and Mrs. Carl Strickland of Memphis, Mrs. Jeff Bevins and Mrs. E. O. Bryan of Knoxville, and Mrs. W. P. Howe of Savannah, Ga.; three sons, T. F., Charles B. and J. B., Jr., all of Kingsport,. Also surviving are two brothers, George of Kansas and L. B. of California; two sisters, Miss Mattie E. and Mrs. W. C. Quillin, both of Gate City; 23 grandchildren, His wife Ida Foulk Nottingham died in April, 1943,

Funeral Services will be held at the Weber Chapel Methodist church were he was a member.
