Henry B. LEINBACH b: 1811 near Turbot Twp, Northumberland Co, PA d: 1851 St. Joseph County, Michigan s/o Henry L. Leinbach Jr. (1784-1829) & Mary Bernhart (1789-1846), m: 15 Jan 1835 Mary Magdalena KREPS (1816-1866). both Henry & Mary are buried at Mottville Cemetery, St. Joseph Co., Mi as well as two of their children, John & Mary. After the Typhoid Fever outbreak in McEwensville, PA Henry and his sister Sarah Leinbach Hittle & their families pack there belongs and headed north to Niagara County, New York where other Leinbach cousins where living in the Spring of 1847. During June 1851 Henry moved his family via Covered Wagon to St. Joseph County, Michigan, where another Leinbach cousin had homestead. He died the fall of 1851, There place was West of Mottville, Mich. His sister & her family moved onto the Prairie state of Illinois in 1853. *8 Children: Sarah J. (Leinbach) (1837-1923) m: 1859 Levi LANTZ (1836); Adam T. Leinbach (1839-1843); Henry P. Leinbach (1841-1843); Mary (Leinbach) Grove (1842-1882); George H. Leinbach, pvt (1844-1920); John L Leinbach, pvt (1847-1883) m: Cora Huss; Susanna E. Leinbach (1849); Rachel Leinbach (1851-1931) m: 1873 Charles SNOOK (1851-1932). two sons served in the Civil War. John L & George H. The Proof of this being the correct family is the death of their daughter Rachel (Leinbach) Snooks in 1931 Michigan Death Records. *Revised07/15/2010 & Updated 01/10/2016.
