Funeral Services Held Tues. For Hubert Brown

Funeral services for Hubert Brown, 58, of Raton, New Mexico were held Tuesday afternoon in the First Baptist Church of Clarendon with Rev. W.R. Lawrence, pastor, officiating. He was assisted by Rev. Lloyd Futch, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Channing, Texas. Interment was in Citizens Cemetery.

Mr. Brown died on an apparent heart attack Sunday in a Raton, New Mexico, hospital. He was born in Clarendon and had worked for several ranches in the area, among them the JA and LS Ranches. At the time of his death he was foreman of the Dick Silberburg Ranch near Raton. His wife, Mary, preceded him in death only a few weeks ago.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Keith Crawford of Channing; half-brothers, Lloyd of Clarendon and Floyd of San Bernadino, Calif.; half-sisters, Mrs. Adrian Madison, Mrs. Kate Bush, and Mrs. Nan Potter of Amarillo, also Mamie Repperts of Fort Worth; and one grandson.
