Son of Richard and Patience Green Bass
Husband of Mary Ann Robbins whom he married 16 Mar 1856 in Paulding County, Georgia.

Bass, Richard Green b. March 10, 1836 Meriwether Co. Ga. died March 10, 1901 of Typhoid Fever. He was injured (Ga 56th) at the Battle of Vicksburg with a Minnie ball passing through the back of his ear, and out the back of his head.
Bass, R. G. - private May 10,1862. Wounded and disabled at Baker's Creek, Miss. May 16, 1863. Pension records show he was discharged in 1863. (Born in Ga. March 10, 1836. Died in Paulding County, Ga. in 1901.)

The brother of Mary Ann ROBINS, John ROBINS, was listed as an elder. John is buried in the cemetary, but there is no record of his wife being buried there.

Richard served in the CSA in the 56th Regiment GA Volunteers.
