Son of David Wood and Ann Browning Bozeman, died at the age of 18, in Coosa county Ala; May 26,1855, on a beautiful Sunday evening, surrounded by many weeping friends. He was a young man of very bright mind, of great ambition, studious habits, noble impulses, handsome person, and splendid promise. Over his open grave at Union Baptist church, of which he was a member. Mr. Walkley his teacher, delivered a touching eulogy. For three months before his death, the writer of these sketches was his constant companion, being his class-mate and room-mate, and nurse through his last sickness.
He deserved the love and honor due to a kind and noble sprit. He abides and object of esteem and affection in my heart.
