Mr. Stout, a resident of 1045 W. Broad St., Cookeville died Sunday in the local hospital following an extended illness.
He was a native of Jackson County, the son of the late William Lafayette and Martha Elizabeth Carter Stout. He was a veteran of WWI, and a retired furniture salesman.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Marie S. Roberson of Cookeville; two sons, Earl Stout, of Knoxville, Ray Stout, St. Petersburg, FL; four grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. C. K. Flatt, Cookeville; four halfbrothers, Carmel Stout of Cookeville, Noble Stout, Baxter, Carlin Stout, Birmingham, AL, Veston Stout, Bucyrus, OH; and three halfsisters,
