Alice and I are related by blood thru her mother Marie Irwin Conroe Sherman and my g-g-grandmother Jeannette Irwin Hamill (they were sisters). Alice's bio information can be found in my "Irwins of Cloveneden" research.

Alice May Boyd, 85, a lifelong Elizaville resident, died Sunday, Jan, 20 at home. She was a member of the Elizaville Methodist Church. Born Sept 3, 1905 in Elizaville, she was the daughter of David and Marie Irwin Sherman. In 1924, in Elkton, MD, she married Isaac S. Boyd, who died Jan.1, 1930. Several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews survive. She was predeceased by three brothers, Earl Sherman in 1972; William Conroe in1920 and Irwin Conroe in 1988. There are no calling hours. A memorial service will begin at l:30pm Saturday, Feb 2, at the Rowe United Methodist Church, Route 199, Milan, with the Rev. John Wall officiating. Burial will be in Elizaville Methodist Cemetery in the spring. - from the Poughkeepsie Journal (NY) 1/27/1991;
