Mrs. Josephine Ames of the ManJoine apartments was removed to Hershey hospital in a critical condition this morning after she fell, fracturing her left hip. Mrs. Ames, who formerly resided here, returned to Muscatine in April from California, where she had been making her home with her daughter, Miss Stella Ames.

Funeral services for Mrs. Josephine Ames, who died at Hershey hospital after a paralytic stroke, were conducted at 2 o'clock this afternoon at the First Baptist church by the Rev. Vernon L. Shontz. The Women's Relief Corps conducted short services at the church.
