MRS. KEN. ASHTON PASSES ON MONDAY


Mrs. Dorothy Ashton succumbed at Mercy Hospital on Monday February 25, 1962 after a lingering illness.

Born December 18, 1909, in Detroit, Michigan, the former Dorothy Buddy was married in 1925 at Onaway to Kenneth Ashton, who survives her. Also surviving are six sons, Richard of Jackson, Reginald of Saginaw, Donald and Brian of Grayling, Darrell of Arvada, Colo., New Haven, A/lc Larry, two daughters, Mrs. Lois Peter of Clarkston, and Mrs. Phyllis Holzman of held 1 Riverside, Calif. sixteen grandchildren four sisters, Mrs. Elmer Parkes and Mrs. John Laur of Gaylord, Mrs. Thuron Durga of Traverse City, and Mrs. Stanton the Blessing of Elkhart, Ind. two brothers, Harold Buddy of Saginaw, and Henry Buddy of Golden, Colo.

Funeral services will be held at the Sorenson Funeral Home on Thursday, March 1, at 1 o’clock. Elder Jay Doty, pastor of the Reorganized Church-of Latter Day Saints, the church of Mrs. Ashton’s faith, will officiate, and members of the congregation will be pallbearers.
