MRS. JULIA A. LEWIS PASSES AT HER HOME
Funeral Service Will Be Held From Home Tomorrow
Mrs. Julia A. Lewis, 86, of this city, passed away last night shortly after 8 o'clock at her home at 42 South Front street. She had been ill and confined to her bed for about four years.
Funeral service will be held tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock from the home, Rev. L. C. Larkin, pastor of Centenary Methodist church, officiating.
Mrs. Lewis, a native of Craven County, had spent most of her life in New Bern. She was a member of the Centenary church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Furnie Gaskill and Mrs. John Roberts, and one son, Hardy Lewis of Beaufort.

LAST RITES FOR MRS. JULIA LEWIS WILL BE HELD TODAY
Funeral services for Mrs. Julia A. Lewis, who died here Friday night, will be held at 9:30 o'clock this morning from the home at 42 East Front Street by Rev. L. C. Larkin, pastor of Centenary Methodist church, of which the deseased was a member. She had been confined to her bed for the past four years. Burial will be in Cedar Grove cemetery.
The hour of the funeral was moved from 10 A.M. to 9:30 A.M. Mrs. Lewis was the widow of Isaac Lewis and was well known in both New Bern and Craven County.
