The community was saddened Friday when it became known that Mrs. Frank Ison had passed away during the night. She had been a sufferer for many months from complications, but her sweetness and Christian fortitude had made a deep impression on everyone, and sympathy was expressed for the family that had lost such a brave and lovable member. Mrs. Ison was before her marriage Miss Affie Walter, daughter of the late David and Nettie Munday Walter. She was about fifty years of age. Her funeral was held Sunday afternoon at the home on Lexington avenue, conducted by her pastor, the Rev. F. B. Jones, and a former pastor, Rev. J. D. Redd. The interment was at Spring Hill Cemetery. Surviving are her husband, a daughter, Miss Lucile Ison, and a brother, Mr. James Walter, three sisters, Mrs. Clell Coleman, Mrs. L. M. VanArsdale and Mrs. Charles Terhune, all of this place.
