John Harrison Bailey was the son of Robert and Margaret Romines Bailey. He married Georgia Douglas. He was a retired groceryman. John died at age 67 years of age; survived by his wife, Georgia Douglas Bailey; sons, Fred Bailey of Kodak, Ray and Bert Bailey of Dandridge, Tennessee; daughters, Mrs. Paul Russell (Kodak), Mrs. Louise Lindsey (New Market), Mrs. Carl Lindsey, Dandridge, Mrs. Ben Whaley, Dandridge; three brothers, Jim Bailey of Knoxville, Bob Bailey of Mascot, Tennessee and Shade Bailey of Dandridge; sisters, Mrs. M. M. Cate, Mrs. Lee Cate, Mrs. Bert Henderson, Mrs. Wallace Flynn and Mrs. Joe Simpson. He was a member and deacon at the French Broad Valley Baptist Church.
