Lyman S Hill
AVIS- A 90 year old resident of Avis and retired blacksmith of the New York Central Railroad, Lyman S Hill, died early today at Susque View, Lock Haven.
Mr. Hill, who was born Feb. 3, 1875, had lived on Central Ave., many years. For the past two years he has been at the home.
He was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance.
Surviving are five sons and two daughters, Raymond Hill, Huron, OH.; Hogan and Jay, Avis; Clifford, Danville; and Lee, Manchester, Ga.; two daughters, Mrs. Esther Anthony, Plymouth, Mich.; and Mrs. Mary Schreckengast, Linnwood, Pa.; 15 grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.

Lyman was the son of John Henry and Mary Strong Hill. He married Lillian Annie Bower on December 12, 1900 in Salona, Clinton County, PA. After her death in 1903, he married Rosa Emma Brungard on February 3, 1904 in Clinton County, PA. After Rosa died in 1946, he married Marcella Harnish Rockey on July 17, 1948 in Avis, Clinton County, PA. After Marcella died in 1954, he married Claire Edith Barrett Simcox on September 5, 1956 in Avis, Clinton County, PA.
