Mrs. Ritter was born on Oct. 13, 1929, in Vandalia, the daughter of George T. and Mary A. (Sperry) England. She married Edwin Gerald "Jerry" Ritter on June 10, 1950, in Vandalia; he passed away on Nov. 5, 2011.
She was a lifelong beautician, and was affiliated with First Christian Church in Effingham.
She is survived by her sons, David Ritter and his wife Diana of Vandalia, and Ken Ritter of Effingham; daughter, Susie and her husband Steve Oertwig of Champaign; grandchildren, Mark, Tricia, Stephanie, Nicole and Katie; great-grandchildren, Jake, Nicholas, A.J., Olivia, Lucas, Elena and Mya; brother, Kenneth England of Pekin; and sister, June McFarland of Decatur.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 66
