Cecil Fox, 87, of Harrison, died Saturday, July 10 (2010) at the Hospice of the Hills House in Harrison.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 13, at Holt Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 14, at Plumlee Church. The Rev. Melinda Smith will be officiating. Pallbearers will be friends and family. Burial will be at Plumlee Cemetery.

Cecil was born Jan. 10, 1923, at Compton, a son of James David and Agnes B. (Richardson) Fox.

Cecil was of the Christian faith. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving two years in World War II.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Harold Ray Fox; two brothers, John and Doy Fox; and four sisters, Jolene Fox Warren, and Juanita, Delores and Joyce Fox.

He is survived by his stepmother, Edith Fox; four daughters, Carolyn Fox Porter, Mary Fox Hamm, Susan Fox Stills and Cynthia Fox; half-brothers, Charles and Carl Fox; sister, Bonnie J. Fox Logan; half-sisters, Anne Fox Harris and Beth Fox Crow; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a special friend, Loretta Fox.
