Alfalfa Services Held Friday For Former Resident
Funeral services for Edward M. "Edd" Anderson, Oklahoma City, a pioneer resident of the Alfalfa and Carnegie communities, were held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Capitol Hill Funeral home. Graveside services were at 1 p.m. at the Alfalfa cemetery.
Anderson, 76, died in an Oklahoma City hospital Tuesday, November 15, after a severe illness of six weeks. He had worked for the Oklahoma City water department for 30 years.
He came with his parents to the Alfalfa community before statehood and later lived in and near Carnegie.
He is survived by his wife of the home in Oklahoma City; two sons, Elmer and Jack, both of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Mrs. M.J. Birge of Shawnee and Mrs. Bob Martin of Lawton; several nieces and nephews including Mrs. Jim Reynolds, Mrs. Irene Craig, Mrs. Betty Powers, M.L. Anderson and M.B. Fanning, all of Carnegie.
