SHEEPMAN DIES IN CAR CRASH
S.Pouquette is instantly killed when car leaves trail; asleep at wheel
Wickenburg AZ, May 5
Simon Pouquette, prominent sheepman of Wickenburg and Flagstaff, was instantly killed early this morning when the car he was driving left the road about six miles from here, on the Prescott highway, plunged into an embankment throwing Pouquette from his seat to the ground, breaking his neck. He was driving alone at the time of the accident.
According to occupants of another car, Pouquette's car was traveling at a slow rate of speed when it suddenly swerved from the road.
The victim was enroute to his home in Wickenburg from Flagstaff and is believed to have fallen asleep at the wheel.
He is survived by his widow and six children, the oldest of whom is 18.
