Harry Francis Bridwell was born September 9, 1878, in Illinois, son of William Bridwell and Sarah Jane Hood. In 1880, the family was living in McLeansboro, Illinois (Hamilton County). William, age 26, was born in Kentucky; Sarah, age 24, was born in Illinois; and they had three children: Harry, age 4; John, age 2; and Gertrude, age 4 months; all born in Illinois.

In about 1897, Harry married Sarah Elizabeth "Lizzie" (maiden name unknown). In 1900, Harry and Lizzie were living in Township 4, Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory. Their household included: Harry, age 23, Lizzie, age 24, born in Kentucky, their son Willie, age 1, born in Kentucky; and William Maye, age 33, a boarder. His widowed mother and six siblings lived nearby. His mother's household included: Sarah J., age 40, born April 1860 in Illinois; John H., age 21, born June 1878 in Illinois; Mattie Gertrude, age 20, born March 1880 in Illinois; Idiah, age 18, born January 1882 in Illinois; Sam, age 16, born July 1883 in Arkansas; Minnie D., age 13, born November 1886 in Arkansas; and Willie H., age 8, born September 1891 in Indian Territory.

By 1910, Harry, age 32, a farmer, born in Illinois; and Lizzie, age 30, born in Kentucky; were living in Lexington, Oklahoma (Cleveland County) with their son, Willie, age 10, born in Oklahoma. Lizzie had given birth to two sons, but only one was living at that point. The other child, an Infant Son, died in 1902 when he was less than seven months old.

Harry registered for the World War I draft on September 12, 1918. He listed his age as 42, and his birthdate as September 9, 1876 (which differs from his tombstone). He listed his wife, Lizzie Bridwell, as his closest relative and stated that that he was farming and living in Lexington, Oklahoma (Cleveland County).

In 1920, Harry and Lizzie were still on the farm they owned in Lexington, but their son Willie was gone from the household.

In 1930, Harry, age 52, a farmer, born in Illinois; and Lizzie, age 48, born in Kentucky; were still living in Lexington, Oklahoma (Cleveland County. The record shows that they were ages 21 and 18, respectively when they married.

Harry died November 11, 1943, and was buried in the Lexington Cemetery. Lizzie died February 3, 1961 and was buried beside her husband.
