Betty Edmonds who was married (?) to John E. Atkinson was actually Elizabeth "Betty" Rush, the daughter of Lorenzo Dow Rush and Frances Irene Harwood. She would have been a sister to Arrena Rush who was married to John E. Atkinson. Betty married John Pratt Edmonds in 1870 Boone County, Arkansas.

Betty Rush Edmonds had a son, Joseph R. Atkinson (1865-1909) who is buried next to his wife Matilda (Allen)Atkinson in Bethany Cemetery in Boone County.

Elizabeth V. "Betty" Rush Edmonds (1837-1914) died in Haskell, Oklahoma. In addition to her son Joseph, she had at least 3 children by John Pratt Edmonds.
