CHARLES W. DEAN DIES IN HOSPITAL

Charles W. Dean, aged 71, father of Raymond and Charles Russell Dean, employees of the Fayette Publishing Company, died at 5:20 Wednesday evening, October 5, 1938, in the Uniontown Hospital after a brief illness of pneumonia.
Ill with pleurisy for the past 10 days, Mr. Dean's condition became gradually worse and he was removed to the hospital. He had been in failing health for over a year.
Surviving are the following children; Raymond, Uniontown; Mrs. Nancy Fowler, Clermont, Pa.; Mrs. Jessie Grimm and Mrs. Dorothy Chambers, of the National Pike West, and Sylvester and Charles Russell, both at home. He also leaves one brother, Warren, of Youngstown, Pa.; a sister, Mrs. Minnie McCann, of Lemont, and six grandchildren. Mrs. Dean died three years ago as a result of an explosion of a can of paint in the kitchen of the Dean residence.
The body was removed to the Minerd Funeral Home. Plans for the funeral are incomplete.
