Charles Henry Beck

Of Greenwood retired motorman for the Logan Valley company, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Margaret Becher, 2627 Ninth avenue, Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock.

He retired from Logan Valley service in 1943 after 30 years employment. He was born in Greenwood, Nov. 9, 1885, a son of Blooming and Annie (Wilt) Beck.

Surviving are his wife, Mary (Young) Beck; one daughter, Mrs. Becher; two sons, Raymond E. of Altoona; and Walter C. of Greenwood; 12 grandchildren; the following brothers; Reuben, Dewey and Scott of Altoona, Jerry and William of Greenwood; Roy of Johnstown; and John of Altoona; and three sisters, Mrs. Mary McDowell of Altoona; Miss Peral Beck of Greenwood; and Mrs. Charles Smiley of California.

He was a member of the United Brethren church. Friends will be received at the Mauk and Yates funeral home.



BECK-Funeral services for Charles Henry Beck of Greenwood will be held at the Mauk & Yates funeral home Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in charge of Rev. C.W. Winey. Interment in Greenwood cemetery. Friends are being received at the Mauk & Yates funeral home.
