The body of Dr. Augustus J. Brubaker, 56, son of Dr. John L. Brubaker, retired Juniata physician, was found in his car in a garage about a block from his home in Philadelphia yesterday it was learned last night.

An instructor of dentistry at Temple university, Dr. Brubaker had not met his classes since Monday. Philadelphia detectives quoted Charles Brennan, a roomer at the Brubaker home, as saying a hose leading into the car was connected to the exhaust pipe.

A graduate of Temple university, Dr. Brubaker practiced his profession several years in Puerto Rico and was an instructor of airplane mechanics in New York city during the World War.

Members of the family include a half brother, Attorney Donald L. Brubaker of Juniata, and his father. His wife and mother are deceased.


*He was the 300th licensed US Aviator.
