I have always seen my grandmother's name written as Linda E. Robinson. I am assuming the "E" is for Eleanor, her mother's given name. Her nickname was Linnie which can be found on family letters and engraved silverware. In the 1860 and 1870 census she is listed as Salinda Robison.
