Ruth Katharine Rahl Davies was born to Charles Delaney (1862-1927) and Rosa Bell Millard Rahl (1870-1944) in Bay City, Michigan. She had two siblings; Theophilus Francis Rahl (1890-1890) and Nadah Mabel Rahl Paulsen (1891-?)

Gilbert & Ruth must have had a wonderful marriage together. They remembered each other on every holiday of the year and any special event with a greeting card. In her cards, Ruth would always tell Gib how much she loved him and in his cards, he would always refer to Ruth as, "My Sweetie."
They traveled and vacationed together often and enjoyed a happy marriage. They also had many friends. Gib and Ruth never had children. Given how attentive and loving Uncle Gib was to his many nephews and nieces, it is evident they would have been wonderful parents.
After almost 26 years of marriage, Ruth passed away on 3 May, 1954 at the age of 60. Gilbert moved back to Utah and lived there the remainder of his life. He died in 1994 at the age of 102.
