Funeral services for Eugene Vernon Inman, 86, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2002 at the Wilkins Street Church of Christ in Angleton with Leland Rodgers and Billy Mack officiating. Burial will follow in the Angleton Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 22, 2002 at Palms Funeral Home.
Mr. Inman, a 51-year resident of Angleton, was born June 9, 1916 in Winters, TX to Samuel Chelton and Gertrude Turner Inman and passed away Friday, July 19, 2002 in Houston, TX.
His first love was his church; he was a member of the Hospital Auxiliary and American Legion.
Mr. Inman was preceded in death by his first wife, Gladyne, and parents. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Audrey Inman of Angleton; son, Charlie Barker of Angleton; daughters, Penny Inman Adams of Spring, Peggy Brooks of New Braunfels, Charlotte Wollam of Angleton; brother, Samuel Inman of Round
Rock; grandchildren, Callie Adams, Seth Barker, Lori Hawkins, Karyn Herron, Darrin Gundy, Rodney Gundy, Jay Brooks, Monica Brooks, Stephanie Wollam, Charles Wollam and 11 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Charles Wollam, Darrin Gundy, Rodney Gundy, Seth Barker, Oliver Bodden and Guy Lewis. Honorary pallbearers will be the Elders and Deacons of Wilkins Street Church of Christ in Angleton.
