Maud was the daughter of Andrew Thomas Brenton and Harriet Ellen Wright. She married Elvie Platt on September 9 1893 at Sac City. They were the parents of Elizabeth Glenn 1898. She married Fred Richter April 22, 1908.

The Sac Sun - Thursday , August 20th, 1908 - On Tuesday afternoon at her home at Perry, Ia, the death of Mrs Maude Brenton Richter occurred after an illness of only a few hours duration. Mrs Richter has not been in good health for some time, having had kidney trouble. However, her sudden death came as a surprise.

She was the daughter of Dr. A.T. Brenton of Roberts, FL. and was born in Sac City on Oct 1, 1872. She resided nearly all her life in Sac City. She was married about 15 years ago to Mr E.G. Platt from whom she obtained a divorce on April 21 of this year at Ida Grove.

The next day she was married to Mr Fred Richter at Omaha, NE and has since resided at Panora and Perry.

She leaves a daughter Elizabeth about 12 years of age surviving her.

Her remains will be brought in on the afternoon's Chicago, Milwaukee, and St Paul train at 1 and interment will take place here at once at Oakland cemetery.
