Angelo was both tough and gentle. He wasn't very tall but his presence filled a room. Although he was a coal miner in Wyoming, he was also a true entrepreneur. He was an owner, or part owner, of a sheep ranch, a cola bottling company and several properties. Angelo arrived in America at a time when the Indians were still roaming the plains of Wyoming. Decades later took his first plane ride with his grandson, Joe, who was the pilot. He loved his pipe and cigars, walking to town to visit with people, boxing and wrestling matches. He loved telling stories of his past, and especially regaled his grandchildren with the story of how he lost a finger in a fight as a young man. He was a dapper, proud gentleman who loved his family as much as they loved him. He was called "Nono" by his grandchildren and he would do anything for them. He was married to Frances Floretta Menghini, who passed away in 1991. They had 5 children. Mary died in infancy and Rena died in Austria, while she was there visiting relatives with her mother. His three remaining children were 2 sons, Renaldo and Adolph, (both deceased) of Rock Springs, and a daughter, Aileen who resides in Salt Lake City. Angelo had 6 grandchildren and was also a great grandfather. Nono was a one of a kind man, and will always be missed and always loved by his family and all who knew him.
