War of 1812 - Private in Captain S. Dickinson's Co. 31st Reg. U.S. Infantry. Enlisted at Randolph, VT on or about 22nd day of May, 1813 for a term of one year. Honorably discharged at Woodstock, VT 22nd day of May 1814. ~ Taken from War of 1812 Pension and Bounty Land Warrant Application Files.

Edward & his wife Phila (Philadelphia) Bagley resided in Lancaster, Erie Co., New York for approximately 30 years from 1839-1869. Edward relocated to Michigan after the death of his wife in 1869. Six of their children are buried in Lancaster Rural Cemetery.
