Mrs. Lela Smart's Funeral in Beaumont Set for Wednesday
Beaumont, May 20 - Funeral services for Mrs. Lela Smart, 65, who died Monday at her home, 327 East Church street, will be held Wednesday at 2 p. m. in the Roberts and Pipkins-Brulin chapel. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial park.
A native of Henderson, Mrs. Smart had lived in Beaumont for eight years.
Surviving are her husband, Lon P. Smart; two sons, Lon P. Smart Jr. of New Iberia, La. and James W. Smart of Rumford, R. I.; four daughters, Mrs. Harris L. Blanchette and Mrs. Milton J. Wilkerson, both of Beaumont, Mrs. Frank Girolamo of Port Arthur, and Mrs. Jimmy Nelson of Lake Charles, La.; three brothers, Bud Naul of Henderson and Charlie and Archie Naul, both of Lubbock; 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Married 30 July 1910 in Henderson, Rusk County, Texas to Lon Penson Smart.
