Ross
George Ross died at his home on Todd's Island, Sabbath, Oct. 15, 1899, aged 80 years, 10 months and 15 days. Mr. Ross has been a respected citizen of this place for many years. He retired from active work some years ago, and has been tenderly cared for since by his family. His wife died some years ago, leaving with him two daughters and one son. His oldest daughter, Mrs. R. S. Sproull, and his son Johnston Ross, live in Washington, Iowa. His oldest son, William, lives in Ridgeway, John at Verona, and the youngest, Allen, lives in Pittsburg. He had nine children, one, a son, died in 1870. He was connected with the Methodest church of this place.
