Funeral services for Mitchell T. Lykins were held Saturday May 4th, in the Riley Funeral Chapel with Rev. Billy Derrick officiating. Mr. Lykins passed away in the Hamilton General Hospital on May 2 following a short illness. Interment was in the Oakwood Cemetery.

Mitchell T. Lykins was born in Coryell County, November 1, 1907, the son of John Henry and Maggie Chambers Lykins. He married Miss Eunice Chaney on February 4, 1931, and moved to Hamilton in 1943. He was a veteran of World War II and an elder in the Primitive Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Eunice Lykins, one son, Mitchell Truman Lykins; one sister, Mrs. Lillie Bell Reed; two brothers, Clyde and Hamp Lykins; and two grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers were Burl Jackson, Dewey Sellers, David Box, Jack Maddox, Bill Barr, and Jerry Clancy.
