(Otis) Darrel Barnes, 62, of Indianapolis, formerly of Bardstown, died September 1, 1989 at Methodist Hospital in Louisville.

He was an owner-operator of Atlas Pump and Well Drilling Company in Louisville, a World War II Navy veteran and member of the First Cedar Creek Baptist Church.

He was survived by his wife, the former Mary Yates of Indianapolis; one son, Kenneth Barnes, Tucson, Arizona; two daughters, Debby and Sherry Barnes, both of Dallas; a brother, Marion Barnes of Bardstown; and a sister, Mrs. Elvis (Dorothy) White of Louisville.

Also surviving are four grandchildren.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Northside Funeral Home with interment in First Cedar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will begin 2:30 p.m. today.

Northside Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
